As a mother, I often find myself immersed in the beauty of old photographs, reflecting on the swift passage of time, and feeling an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the precious moments captured through my lens, creating a treasury of memories for my family.
While the majority of my life was spent in the Lower Mainland, the pivotal year of 2020 led my husband and me to a life-changing decision—to relocate our family from Mission to the picturesque town of Peachland in the Okanagan. This move was more than a change of address; it was a conscious step toward transforming our dream of raising our family in the idyllic Okanagan into a beautiful reality.

These 3 humans are my everything!! My husband Brian and I have been together for a total of 20 years. We got married on our 10 year dating anniversary 03.15.13 and shortly after had our first son, Nixon. A few years later, we finally got the courage to add another baby to the mix. That was when we welcomed our daughter, Brooklyn, into the world and our family was complete. I love being able to capture my family and leave a legacy of photographs telling the story of their lives.

Living in the Lower Mainland we were always wanting to "get away" whenever we could. When we moved to our home in Peachland, we wanted our own little piece of paradise, somewhere we would never be wanting to escape from. And we found it!

I crave certain foods depending on my mood! Some days you will find me reaching for the chocolate, Aero and Kit Kat are my two favs. Other days you will find me devouring a bag of Old Dutch Ketchup chips. Pair it with a glass of cab sav... yum! It's all about balance right? lol

Choosing Alysha as my photographer was a no-brainer for me – I craved that cozy in-studio vibe, plus their editing game is top-notch! As I never had a newborn session with my first, the lead-up to the maternity/newborn session had me feeling a delightful mix of excitement and "What on earth should I expect?" vibes. But guess what? The session itself? A blast! My absolute favorite part? The photographer's knack for chatting with us throughout – it made everything feel like a fun family hangout. Post-session, I was on cloud nine, knowing those photos were going to be pure magic. Quick tip for fellow moms considering a session: Speak up about what you want, and watch the magic happen!

We love working with Alysha so much that we keep going back! I hired her to do our daughters newborn photos, and when she was 9days old we took her to the studio, and Alysha was so amazing with her! I have no idea how she kept June calm and happy when she was generally a bit of a colicky baby. I think it really helps that she’s a mom herself, I watched her sooth my daughter right to sleep so she could get some photos of her sleeping. (I actually took some of her soothing methods home with me as a new mom and used them to get my baby to sleep at home lol) So awesome. We took our daughter back to get her 1 year old pics done and cake smash and couldn’t be happier with them. They’re so precious, we will enjoy them for a lifetime. Alysha is genuinely talented in capturing special moments with your family and the cherry on top is that she’s so friendly! We love her. We will be clients for life!
